Two Mylnhurst teams traveled to the recent Independent Schools Association Midlands Rugby Tournament held at Princethorpe College. Mylnhurst finished fourth in the Tag Competition and were second in their group in the contact tournament to go into a straight play off for 3rd and forth place. A golden try was to determine the eventual 3rd place finisher with Mylnhurst getting the vital score in a nail biting contest. Congratulations to all the boys for a fantastic day of rugby.
A quartet of Mylnhurst boys qualified for the Nation Biathlon Championships which was held at Crystal palace last Saturday. Competing in a timed run and swim the boys consistent performances place them as silver medalist in the team competition. Well done to Joe, Tom, Presley and Jenson for a stellar team effort and taking a fine 2nd place
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 9th March 2017. This year our focus is Roald Dahl and all children are invited to dress up as their favourite character for the day. There will be many activities on offer throughout the day beginning with an assembly, activities for every class in the library, a photobooth in the morning and a mystery character appearing in the grounds. Wishing you all a very happy World Book Day 2017.

Congratulations to the Mylnhurst Rugby Sevens Squad who retained The Neil Thompson Cup for a third consecutive year with a dominant display of rugby last Friday. Undefeated throughout the tournament they kept cool heads to secure the cup in a closely fought finale against Barlborough Hall. Congratulations boys and thank you to all teams for an excellent afternoon of rugby in memory of Neil.
