A hugely special Happy Birthday to our wonderful Mrs Pathe – who turned 21 again surrounded by all her friends and Mylnhurst family.
We headed out into the sunshine of the playground to surprise the legend that is Mrs P with a balloon, gifts, handmade cards and a special rendition of the birthday song, to mark her big day.
Mrs Pathe – Bernie, to her friends – came to Mylnhurst herself as a little girl from 1970 to 1977, and later returned to the school she loves so much as Prep 4 teacher in 2003.
She held the same job for 22 years until deciding to step into the role of Teaching Assistant, still with Prep 4, at the start of this academic year.
As our Deputy Head Mrs Holland told the children: “Mrs Pathe actually came to school here when she was your age. She loved Mylnhurst so much that she came back to teach all of you wonderful children, and in return we love her very much.”
