Today, we gathered to remember a very important day in history – a day filled with hope, relief and joy, after many years of hardship, bravery and sacrifice.
We can only imagine how the Mylnhurst pupils of 1945 marked VE Day 80 years ago. Today we took time to remember all those who gave so much, to reflect, and to celebrate – with an incredibly special street party lunch on the cobbled courtyard outside our Stables dining hall.
“Help us to be peacemakers in our world,” said our deputy head Ms Holland. “Kind in our words, thoughtful in our actions, and always ready to stand up for what is right.”
