We hope you don’t frog-et us!

A beautiful afternoon in Sheffield’s glorious Botanical Gardens – as Prep 3 took their science lesson into the great outdoors to release our froglets!

The frogspawn our Prep 3 teacher and Science Lead Miss Coppard was gifted by the Gardens has metamorphosed in its tank into tadpoles and now froglets, ready to be released back into the pond from whence they came!

The class headed out not just for a local trip but also to complement their science work on life-cycles and plants, with extra time to look at the beautiful flowers, meet the groundsmen, admire the Rose Garden, and feed some squirrels now they are out of hibernation.

We are currently on day 42 of this wonderful real-life science experiment. Typically frogs take about 14 weeks from being frogspawn to becoming adult frogs. We just hope they don’t frog-et us!
