A fantastic day was had by all in our World book day celebrations. The costumes were amazing and so varied!
We began our exciting day with a whole school assembly, we were overwhelmed by the fabulous costumes all in one room. It was most interesting trying to guess which teacher was which underneath their extremely elaborate costumes! Each class then went on to complete their own book themed activities as well as visiting the library for a scheduled story time with Mrs Tuff and Mrs Lomas.
Excitement built as the day went on to try to spot the mystery character who had been invited into school. The first sighting was in the outdoor classroom, followed by many other sightings around the school campus. The Gruffalo’s child appeared in the woods, at classroom windows, at the dining room and many other locations – she was everywhere!
We all really enjoyed sharing our favourite books with each other, a really special day.
