We enjoyed a prestigious day at Mylnhurst on Tuesday, welcoming more than 100 children from six other schools around England for the ISA Midlands Gymnastics contest.
This was the first time Mylnhurst had ever been selected to host an ISA competition – testament to the quality of our facilities, and the success of our sports department’s development plan which designated gymnastics as a particular area of focus – and the day was made up of vault and floor exercises for children who travelled from schools as far afield as Shrewsbury, Leamington Spa, Birmingham and Leicestershire.
Mylnhurst made history in our first ever outing at the competition – team silver for our under 9 girls, and individual gold for Harper! Well done to our fantastic gymnastics teacher, Emmalouise Bennett – a brilliant result – and to Mrs Buchanan for organising the event.
