What a magnificent, collaborative afternoon of super sportsmanship we have enjoyed here at Mylnhurst today!
It was an absolute delight to open up our netball courts and football pitches to three local primary schools for an action-packed afternoon of sports tournaments.
We were so pleased to welcome children from Abbey Lane, St Marie’s and St Wilfrid’s primary schools for matches, penalty shoot-outs – and, the best bit, a team tea of sandwiches, cake and fruit in our sports hall afterwards!
The spirit of fair play, sporting conduct, and a shared love of the game was clear to see – as well as some very muddy knees! – and, win or lose, it didn’t matter. It was the way each of the children played, every person putting in their heart and soul, the manners, and the incredible sportsmanship they all showed. Nothing could sum up the spirit of Mylnhurst more.
Please enjoy our gallery of photographs from what has been a splendid afternoon.
