What a fabulous day we had celebrating Sports Day!
From running and relays to hurdles and space hoppers, all our children had an amazing time, trying their very best and having fun in the sun!
Thank you to all our families who came along to cheer our children on (and tuck into Pimm’s, and strawberries and cream, in the sunshine) – it was a glorious day filled with super smiles, sporty skills… and of course some friendly House rivalry.
Congratulations to Key Stage 2 yellow team Walsh who made Mylnhurst history by winning the House cup for only the second time in 22 years! What an achievement!
Our Headmaster, Mike Hibbert, said: “Our Sports Days are always among my favourite occasions of the school year, and to share them with so many of our families, all here to cheer on our wonderful children as they proudly put on such a fantastic sporting spectacle, was a privilege.
“As ever, while athletic prowess and keenly-contested House rivalries of course play their part, the most heartwarming aspect of Sports Day for me is the camaraderie, teamwork and give-it-a-go attitude our children never fail to display, and it was a joy to see so much Mylnhurst spirit on show.”
