The Early Years Centre
Mylnhurst Early Years
We offer many exciting and stimulating opportunities in our beautiful purpose-built Early Years Centre.
Nursery is often a child’s first experience of spending time away from their families, therefore, our initial focus is always to create an environment that is happy, safe and welcoming. Our Early Years Centre ensures children are emotionally supported through our outstanding pastoral care. Feeling safe and happy is the first step to building confidence and enthusiasm and our children quickly settle in – making friends, playing, exploring and discovering new talents.
Our team of highly experienced and inspirational staff engage each child’s curiosity and imagination, supporting them as they embark upon their school journey. The world unfolds around them as they explore through purposeful play and experience the joy of discovery and learning. Our children are all encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas and tackle new challenges. Every day brings a new adventure!
Child-led learning through play is at the very heart of Mylnhurst Nursery. Our children also enjoy each of the additional enrichments to our curriculum during their time with us.
As part of this enrichment programme, our weekly timetable offers specialist music, languages and Fit Tots, and swimming in our on-site heated pool. Our children learn about healthy choices through cookery lessons, which take place each half term. Phonics and ‘mathematics meetings’ take place every morning.
The brilliant Camp Merlins is available for Nursery pupils during holidays, where children can continue their enjoyment of our facilities and friendships.
